What is worship?

While our worship service includes elements from many eras and cultures, a “typical’ hour-long Sunday morning service strives to engage both our heads and our hearts, and is built around a familiar outline dating back thousands of years – Gathering, Word, Meal and Sending. 

Our time of Gathering often features music and prayer in which to center ourselves. A focus on the Word includes a conversation with children, the reading of our Scripture focus and a reflection by one of our pastors. Our Meal focus includes time for prayer, a confession, a time to respond (optional) with gifts, the Lord’s Prayer, and sharing Holy Communion with all who desire to participate. Finally, we are Sent joyfully back out to serve in the world with an energetic song of hope! We’d love to have you join us!
